DA arrears of 18 months

The government did not increase the DA of government employees from January 2020 to June 2021. After that, the government had increased the dearness allowance by 11 percent from July 2021. Nothing was said about the DA arrears of these 18 months. The employees union has been demanding arrears of 18 months for a long time. Fitment factor

Government employees are also demanding to increase the fitment factor. It is being said in the media reports that the government can give it as a New Year gift. The government is planning to increase the fitment factor after Budget 2023. The rate of fitment factor is currently around 2.6 percent and the employees are demanding the government to increase it to 3.7 percent. If this is done, there will be a huge increase in the salary of the employees. Experts say that after the hike, the basic pay will increase from Rs 18,000 to Rs 26,000. The government last increased the fitment factor in 2016.
