Keeping in view the interest of crores of customers, a big announcement has been made by the Central Government. Government of India is preparing to install 25000 mobile towers as soon as possible. Communication Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has said this. He also told that Rs 36,000 crore has been sanctioned by the government for setting up new towers.
Expressed concern over connectivity
Let us tell you that 5G service was launched by PM Modi last day. The Union Communications Minister had a meeting with the IT ministers of the states. During this, the IT ministers of all the states expressed concern by terming connectivity as a challenge. On this, Ashwini Vaishnav said, ‘As far as connectivity is concerned, the states will have to do heavy lifting to improve connectivity in the states.’
Praised all state governments
The Union Minister praised all the State Governments for joining the PM Gati Shakti Master Plan. He said that working together is yielding better results. The Union Minister assured that the problem of connectivity would be solved to a great extent by the revival of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). He said, ‘We have Rs 1.64 lakh crore for the revival of BSNL which is enough to meet their capital investment requirement and technology upgradation.’
5G service will be available in many cities
It is worth mentioning that earlier the Union Minister had announced that in the coming time, more than 200 cities of the country will start getting 5G service. He made this announcement immediately after the India Mobile Congress. After Ashwini Vaishnav’s statement, it is expected that BSNL’s 5G service will start being available in more than 200 cities of the country by next August.
