In the year 2009, Gurmeet and Debina got married secretly in the presence of 3 of their very close friends in the temple. After marriage, both of them kept their relationship hidden from their respective families for about two years.
She was afraid that her family members would not agree to this relationship. After which once again some time ago, the couple remarried with pomp in Bengali customs, in which their entire family was involved.
