Recharge Delhi Metro card: Everyday lakhs of passengers travel in Delhi Metro and reach their destination. Delhi Metro has now partnered with Airtel Payment Bank (Airtel Payment Bank) for Metro Card recharge. Under this partnership, Delhi Metro Smart Card can be recharged tensionlessly without sitting at home.
User details will be safe on recharge through Airtel Thanks app. The company has sent a press release saying that the transactions done through Airtel Payment Bank are safe. Card and net banking details are saved only on the app.
How to recharge Delhi Metro Card through Airtel Payment Bank
- First of all download the latest version of Airtel Thanks app on your Android and iOS device
- After this, go to the bank section in the Airtel Thanks app and select Metro Recharge
- Now add your DMRC Smart Card number and then enter the recharge amount
- After this complete the payment as per your convenience
Now after recharging, whenever you go to the Delhi Metro station next time, tap the smart card by going to the Add Value Machine (AVM) machine present at the metro station. After this the recharged value will appear in your smart card.
Apart from Airtel Thanks, Delhi Metro station has given some more options to its users to recharge the smart card. Metro commuters can also recharge through TVM (Token Vending Machines), Metro Combo Card and mobile e-wallet option.
