Ration Card Rule Update: If you are a ration card holder and take government ration then there is good news for you. Keeping in mind the beneficiaries taking ration, the government has made necessary rules and is following them strictly. In fact, many a times complaints of mess in the weighing of ration were coming from the customers, due to which the government has now made electronic point of sale mandatory at the ration shops. Now ration shops will not be able to sell ration without it.
Implemented these rules for ration
It is worth noting that the National Food Security Law (National Food Security Law) has linked the Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) at the ration shops with electronic scales to ensure that the people taking ration get the right amount of ration. The government has taken such a step to increase transparency in ration shops and prevent underweight cases.
This is the new rule
According to the government, the form of food has been reformed under section 12 of the Act to improve transparency in running the Target Public Distribution System (TPDS). This is another step taken in that direction. Through the National Food Security Act (NFSA), the government is providing 5 kg of wheat and rice per person every month at subsidized rates of Rs 2 to 3 per kg to about 80 crore people of the country.
This change happened
A government official told that an extra profit of Rs 17 per quintal will be given to encourage people to give ration through EPOS.
