The Election Commission of India started issuing digital voter ID cards in early 2021 on the occasion of National Voters’ Day. These ‘e-Voter Cards’ are the digital version of your Voter Photo ID and are available for download. It can arrive in un-edited format on your smartphone, computer, or any other device that supports PDF files. Apart from this, your Digital Voter ID can be stored in Digital Locker like DigiLocker.

For this, your mobile number should be linked to your voter ID. If it is not so, then you need to complete the KYC process before downloading the e-voter card. Keep your physical Voter ID (or EPIC number) handy while downloading the digital card. Let’s know about it.
- First of all open any web browser on your smartphone.
- Now visit the official website https://eci.gov.in/e-epic/ to get the Digital Voter ID.
- After that tap on Download E-EPIC option.
- Now hit the E-EPIC download button available on the top of the webpage.
- Then, if you are an existing user, enter your login details. If not, register yourself with phone number.
- When you go to the portal, tap on the DOWNLOAD E-EPIC link and type your EPIC number, which is the 10 digit unique code printed on your voter ID card.
- Now verify your details displayed on your mobile screen.
- After that, validate your mobile phone number using OTP and click on Download e-EPIC to download the Digital Voter ID on your Smartphone.
- Your Digital Voter ID will be downloaded on your mobile phone in an un-edited PDF format.
