Apart from this, the number of tax slabs has been reduced from 6 to 5 in the new system.
Apart from this, the exemption of Rs 1.50 lakh under 80C will not be available in the new tax system. That is, the benefits of PPF, EPF, children’s education fees, HRA and life insurance policy will not be available. Apart from this, the benefit of health insurance premium will not be available under 80D. At the same time, tax exemption is available on interest up to Rs 2 lakh on home loan.
