Looking to Link Your PAN with Aadhaar? Here’s How to Do it

Steps to Link PAN Card and Aadhaar Card Online

You can conveniently get you PAN card and Aadhaar card linked by following these steps –

Step 1- Visit Income Tax eFiling website.

Step 2– Click on ‘link Aadhaar’ under quick links.

Step 3- Fill out the details- PAN and Aadhaar number.

Step 4- Fill your name as mentioned in your Aadhaar Card.

Step 5- Tick ‘I agree to validate my Aadhaar details with UIDAI’

Step 6- Click on ‘Link Aadhaar’

Step 7- You will receive an OTP on your mobile, fill it and click on ‘validate’

Step 8- You will receive a pop-up notification that you have successfully linked your PAN and Aadhaar.

Link PAN Card and Aadhaar Card by Sending a Text Message

Step 1- Type a message in this format- UIDPAN<12 Digit Aadhaar> <10 Digit PAN>

Step 2- Send the details on 567678 or 56161.

Step 3– You’ll receive a confirmation message on your registered mobile number. That’s it, your PAN card and Aadhaar card will be linked.

Note– Just like Aadhaar link with ration card is compulsory. Similarly, linking Aadhaar card and PAN card is mandatory now.

 

Correction Facility

Successful linking of PAN card and Aadhaar card will only happen if all the details are filled correctly. Even if there is a spelling mistake in the name, the process will not be completed. If you have made the same mistake, don’t worry, it can be easily corrected. Let’s find out how.

Step 1- Open the NSDL Link

Step 2- This link will direct you to a page where you can apply for correction of your name.

Step 3- Submit signed documents to update your PAN card details.

Step 4– Once details are filled and corrected, and your PAN is confirmed by NSDL. You will be able to successfully link your PAN card with your Aadhaar card.

Step 5- You will receive your refurbished PAN card at your address.

Step 6– When you receive it, after that, you can link your PAN with your Aadhaar card.
