Metro card new guide line: Big News! Now this much balance will have to be kept in the metro card, otherwise there will be no entry in the station, details here

Metro card: The Noida-Greater Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has changed the minimum balance required in the metro card to gain entry into the station. This decision has been taken in view of the overcrowding inside the metro stations. Earlier this amount was Rs 10 but now it has been increased. If this much balance is not in the card, then you will not be able to access the metro from the station. The new rule will be implemented from January 16.

Decision taken after seeing the crowd

NMRC oversees the planning, management and construction of the metro network of Noida and Greater Noida, which is growing manifold. The company plans to increase the reach of Noida Metro and Greater Noida Metro by building new lines between Noida and Greater Noida and between Sector 142 and Botanical Garden. As of now, more than 45,000 people travel by metro trains on NMRC every day. Due to heavy rush, crowd management inside the stations has become a problem for the security agencies. To solve this problem, they have increased the value of minimum balance required to get entry inside railway stations.

50 rupees balance is necessary

Till now, for entry in any station of Noida and Greater Noida, a balance of Rs 10 was required in the metro card. However, if a person wants to travel beyond two stations, he will have to recharge the card to come out of the station. This causes congestion. But now at least 50 rupees will have to be paid for entry in any station. NMRC will inform the public through announcements inside metro stations.
