Ishita Kishore has secured the top position in the results of Civil Services Examination 2022 announced by UPSC on Tuesday.
933 students were successful
As per the declared result of the examination, Garima Lohia and Uma Hariti N have secured second and third position respectively in this prestigious examination. UPSC has said that 933 candidates have passed the Civil Services Examination. Civil Services Examination is conducted annually by UPSC in three phases, in which candidates have to go through preliminary, main examination and interview.
Through this examination, officers of other services including Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) are selected.
Only girls remained in the top 4 in this exam. Ishita Kishore has topped the exam. Garima Lohia was second, Uma Harti N in third and Smriti Mishra in fourth. Their marks will be announced about 15 days after the result.
A total of 933 candidates have been selected in the final result. Out of these, 345 candidates are from General, 99 EWS, 263 OBC, 154 SC and 72 ST categories. A reserve list of 178 candidates has also been prepared. 180 candidates have been shortlisted for selection on IAS posts.
UPSC had conducted personal interviews of Civil Services 2022 candidates in 03 phases, whose third and final phase ended on 18 May 2023. As per the Civil Services Mains 2022 Result declared by UPSC, around 2,529 candidates who cleared the Civil Services Preliminary and Main examination were called for the interview. UPSC has recruited 1011 posts including IAS, IPS under the Civil Services Examination 2022.
